SEMI-PERMANENT - TAKE A CREATIVE HEALTH DAY

To convince New Zealand's creative community to attend the Semi-Permanent conference, we decided to position the two day seminar as a creative health day. The budget was non-existent and we had two or three weeks to pull together this under-cover video of real and unsuspecting creatives as they work late into the night. We then used social media to target the people who appear in the video. It was risky, fun and had a lot of people talking.

GRABASEAT'S 9TH BIRTHDAY

Grabaseat is a low-fare flight website that has more sales than the week has days. To celebrate their 9th birthday they had... a sale. So to set this one apart from all the rest, we launched it bigger and better than ever before.

SKINNY MOBILE - AWESOME HAPPENS TOGETHER

We pitched this idea to Skinny Mobile in a tiny conference room with about 10 more people crammed in than necessary. I sung and mimed all the instruments while my partner read the storyboard. Next thing we knew we were producing this homage to Earth, Wind and Fire.

CANNES YOUNG LIONS 48 HOUR COMPETITION

The 2015 brief for Young Lions was to raise awareness for Parkinson's in New Zealand. We had 48 hours to concept, write, shoot and edit a 30" TVC about the disease (which we knew next to nothing about). The rules also stipulated that you couldn't show either a person with Parkinson's, or someone pretending to have it.

Our concept was based on the insight that people living with Parkinson's can seem drunk when they lose control of their bodies.

Shooting and editing a short film in 48 hours is no easy feat, especially when that short film is a musical. We pulled out all the stops, spent every minute of the weekend working and even threw in a burning building for good measure.
